IC694MDL741 梯形螺紋主要用于傳動（進給和升降）和位置調(diào)整裝置中，在機械行業(yè)有著廣泛的使用。一般用途米制梯形螺紋的公差采用了米制普通螺紋的公差制，對螺紋的導程（螺距）和亞測角等單項參數(shù)沒有規(guī)定單獨的公差值。所以這種梯形螺紋不適用于對傳動精度有較高要求的精密傳動螺紋。精密傳動梯形螺紋需在一般梯形螺紋標準的基礎上補充規(guī)定螺紋單項參數(shù)公差。
梯形螺紋也可以用于緊固連接場合。可供ACME螺紋及米制鋸齒形螺紋量規(guī) ?緊固螺紋（UN、UNR、UNJ、M和MJ）的美制檢測體系 ?由于螺紋檢測領(lǐng)域存在許多認識誤區(qū)、一定的風險和經(jīng)濟性的要求，給螺紋產(chǎn)品驗收帶來許多麻煩，給機械產(chǎn)品質(zhì)量埋下許多隱患。為從根本上扭轉(zhuǎn)這種被動局面，美國在螺紋檢測方面進行了大量技術(shù)研究，提出了緊固螺紋檢測體系標準（ASME標準）和60?螺紋量規(guī)測量的不確定度數(shù)據(jù)（ASME技術(shù)報告）。
美國的螺紋加工和檢測技術(shù)居，今后世界其他國家會借鑒美國的經(jīng)驗，制定自己國家的螺紋檢測體系標準，以提高本國螺紋的產(chǎn)品質(zhì)量。如果我國廣大技術(shù)人員能夠盡快學習和掌握這套螺紋檢測體系技術(shù)，我國的螺紋產(chǎn)品質(zhì)量將會迅速提高，擺脫粗糙螺紋生產(chǎn)的局面。 ?從美國螺紋檢測體系還可以學到美國一些先進螺紋加工技術(shù)。例如，利用差示指示量規(guī)檢測技術(shù)，可以提高機床和刀具的調(diào)整精度，加工出接近理論正確尺寸的螺紋。同時，刀具的壽命也會有所增加。
