擠塑聚苯乙烯泡沫板具有輕質、抗壓、防水、低導熱系數、防腐蝕、經久耐用等特點。與EPS聚苯乙烯泡沫塑料板相比，其強度，保溫，抗水汽滲透等性能有較大提高。在浸水條件下仍能完整的保持其保溫性能和抗壓強度，特別適合應用于建筑物的隔熱，保溫，防潮處理。是常見的建筑絕熱保溫材料。
