KCD2-STC-1.20 is an isolated safety barrier launched by Pepperl+Fuchs (P+F) from Germany, which can also be used as a signal conditioner and serves as the core associated device in the intrinsically safe system.

Core Positioning: Installed in the safe area, it safely transmits field instrument signals between the hazardous area and the control room, while strictly limiting the energy transmitted to the intrinsically safe side to prevent ignition of explosive atmospheres.

Core Functions: In addition to basic safety isolation, it supports signal conversion, linearization processing, signal distribution and control signal output, and some versions are compatible with HART communication protocol.

Signal Specifications: Supports 0/4...20mA standard current analog input, can output two isolated signals to the control side, and has a built-in line fault detection function that can identify line anomalies when Pt100 lead resistance is ≤ 10%.

Power Supply & Installation: Adopts DIN 35mm standard DIN rail mounting, supports two power supply modes via power rail or terminals, the rated power supply voltage ranges from 19...30V DC, and the power consumption is only 0.35W under 24V working condition.

Safety & Structure: Safety integrity level is SIL 2, the housing width is only 12.5mm, which greatly saves installation space in the control cabinet. The protection rating is IP20, and the housing is made of PA6.6 engineering plastic.
