Grilamid TR90 NZ is an impact modified, transparent polyamide 12 (PA 12) grade based on aliphatic and cycloaliphatic monomers. Possesses very high flexural fatigue strength, good toughness even at low temperatures and good dimensional stability. Provides impact resistance even at low temperatures, good resistance to chemicals, UV, hydrolysis and stress cracking. Offers low moisture absorption, low water absorption compared to standard polyamides, high heat distortion temperature and easy processability. Can be colored in transparent as well as opaque colors. Shows reversible thermotropic transparency i.e. transparency continuously decreases during heating from room temperature to about 70°C and at 80°C the material is opaque. Is suitable for processing by injection molding and extrusion. Used in automotive applications like fuel- and compressed air systems, interior & exterior, electrical appliances and equipment, connectors, hydraulics & pneumatics.
